At Stonebriar Country Club in Frisco, TX, a long-beloved men’s grill and card room was reimagined to meet the needs of today’s members while preserving its classic appeal. The popular space had fallen into disrepair, with outdated decor, a limited-service bar, and direct sight lines into the kitchen. To revitalize the space, the client requested a more masculine aesthetic, emphasizing TV placement and bar visibility to enhance social interaction and revenue.
The design team began by transforming the service bar into an inviting L-shaped focal point, retaining the existing equipment placement while optimizing layout for functionality. The kitchen entry was relocated to eliminate distracting sight lines, and the plantation shutters were replaced with sleek solar shades, inviting natural light and highlighting scenic golf course views.
All finishes were updated to create a sophisticated, bold atmosphere. Rich, dark millwork complements an ostrich skin wallcovering, while the new striped carpet adds texture and refinement. Large metal pendants lend an industrial edge, while TVs, framed with substantial millwork and set against a linen-hued metallic tile backdrop, bring a sense of luxury and modernity to the room.
Now, the bar serves as the central hub of the men’s grill, reshaping the space into an energetic, purpose-driven environment for camaraderie and entertainment. This thoughtful renovation not only revitalizes the club’s aesthetic but also offers members a refreshed and versatile space to gather, enhancing their overall club experience.
