Nestled in one of the nation’s most exclusive zip codes, with stunning desert vistas and breathtaking sunsets, this Scottsdale, Arizona destination was due for a long-awaited renovation. For the members, a top priority was the addition of an architectural wine feature—something that could serve as both essential storage and a showcase for their prized collection.
Faced with the challenge of blending functional wine storage with a desire to showcase the collection, the design team reimagined the bar layout. The new space was crafted so that every seat would have a view of the wine feature, establishing it as the club’s centerpiece.
With the room’s spectacular desert and sunset views in mind, the wine display was designed to harmonize with the landscape. Flooring and furnishings introduced warm tones inspired by the sunsets, with copper and stone accents adding texture and depth to the space.
Set within a lively bar, the wine cases were enclosed in glass, creating a more intimate dining option—a perfect venue for specialty wine dinners. This glass enclosure allowed for exclusive wine events to be hosted, offering a quieter space without visually disconnecting it from the bar. Soft lighting highlighted the wine wall, enhancing its role as a functional piece of art and providing valuable acoustic properties for private gatherings.
Temperature-controlled and elegantly illuminated, the wine wall became a stunning focal point, fulfilling both aesthetic and functional needs. The response from members has been overwhelmingly positive, with a warm embrace of this new space—a place to further celebrate their love of wine and its many possibilities.
