“If you make your vocation your vacation, you’ll never work a day in your life.”
Lee Barksdale
Elyssa was born with a love for entrepreneurship, but it was at Thiel & Team, she discovered her greatest passion: building and growing a faith-based company that puts its people first.
She began her journey with Thiel & Team in February 2006 as an intern under the mentorship of founders Kurt and Beth Thiel. Driven by a strong desire to contribute and a talent for identifying and addressing needs, Elyssa thrived in an environment where her growth and learning were constantly encouraged. Nearly two decades and many roles later, her expertise now spans systems innovation, procurement, organizational strategy, and corporate finance.
Elyssa wholeheartedly believes that putting people first, especially during challenging times, fosters a space where individuals are inspired to use their unique, God-given talents to achieve extraordinary outcomes for everyone. This people-first approach has been the cornerstone of Thiel & Team’s remarkable culture, business growth, world-class performance, and exceptional high-touch client experience.
Today, Elyssa plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of Thiel & Team by leading the development and execution of the company’s strategic vision. This involves crafting long-term goals that align with the organization’s core values of faith, people-first leadership, and excellence.
