  • Post graduation US work experience required.

Experience Required:

  • 2+ years of experience (post graduation, and early career) in architectural design, documentation, detailing, and consultant coordination.
  • Experience in multi-family and hospitality a plus. New builds, workplace, retail, and medical office experience translate well.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • REVIT proficiency required, and rendering in Enscape preferred

Education:

  • Bachelor or Masters of Architecture, from an accredited program.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • PASSIONATE DRAFTER – Must LOVE drafting and have a thorough understanding of how a document set goes together.
  • ARTISTIC DETAILER – Specific industry knowledge of building components and interior detailing. Understanding of the client’s vision, design & budget.
  • CAD/BIM -Proficient in Revit, 3d modeling/rendering, and knowledge of Photoshop is a plus. Proficient in AutoCAD 2018 or later and Microsoft Office.
  • ARCHITECTURAL SPECIFICATIONS – Comfortable with all architectural specifications from lighting to grab bars.
  • CONSULTANT COORDINATOR – Intimate knowledge of industry-standard project/construction process. Enjoys working with external sub-consultants and anticipates needs. Great scheduler/planner with amazing follow through and high commitment to QA/QC.
  • CODE EXPERT – Knowledge of building codes, comfortable with code research and documentation for national projects.
  • CA ENTHUSIAST – Understands industry standards and legal implications of contract documents. Understands how changes affect the project at each phase and when to communicate changes to the client for quick decision making. Comfortable with reviewing all types of submittals.
  • SKILLED PRIORITIZER – Ability to prioritize tasks for multiple projects and execute based on urgency and importance.

Accountabilities + Responsibilities:

    • Development Team Technical Expert
    • Produce deliverables for all project phases including, but not limited to space plans, schematic design package, design development package, construction documents, submittal reviews, and revisions.
    • Translate concepts into working drawings and details that conform to T&T drawing standards, standard construction methods, current codes, and project budgets.
    • Incorporate code requirements into the design and documentation throughout all phases and provide building code/accessibility research and documentation for successful permitting of each project.
    • Assist Dev Team with managing the overall scope, budget, and schedule for the project.
    • Coordinate with structural, architectural, civil, and MEP engineering to the extent necessary to integrate these disciplines into the construction documents. Provide coordination throughout construction administration to ensure submittals and RFIs are complete and on time.
    • Coordinate with General Contractor during the construction administration phase including bid review, submittal review, RFI responses, contract document revisions, and site visits as required.
    • Communicate and coordinate with clients as required.
    • Attend client meetings as directed by Product Owner, Studio Leader, and Dev Team.
    • Assists with training of Dev Team members on T&T drawings standards, CAD standards, current codes, etc. including red-lining construction documents, assisting with training classes, assist in maintaining detail library, and coordination with BIM manager.
    • Travel to project locations as needed for field verification, construction coordination, and contractor supervision.
